Michelangelo created mighty David out of ordinary stone

Ever since I met my wife, Maria in the college, I have been her guide, coach and mentor. The other day, I was angry with her because she had stopped reading books or writing journals it meant that she had stopped continuous learning and growing.

She knew what I was going through inside my mind. She said to me, “You are my guide, coach and mentor. I am like a stone and you are my Michelangelo. You must repeatedly carve with a chisel to bring out a beautiful, fully developed human being out of me.” Then I wrote a letter reminding her of goals, dreams, beliefs and thoughts.

If Michelangelo could make a mighty David out of an ordinary stone by repeatedly hitting the stone, you can make yourself and others too a great and mighty David by constantly carving your thoughts, beliefs and values.

My wife meant that I was her guide, coach and mentor and it was my job to keep shaping her constantly as long as she was open - minded. One or two blows on the stone will never make an impression. What make a difference to a stone are constant blows.

If you want to bring a change upon yourself, you must do something constantly reading books, writing journals or attending seminars. You can be a master of your success if you are clear in mind what you want to be.

Be your own Michelangelo and try to carve out the best masterpiece out of yourself. You are highly capable and talented to achieve your results as long as you have persistence and patience.
